Clinic Gowns

Our clinic gowns come in both front and rear opening styles. They are made from a poly cotton fabric that makes them cheaper and easier to wash and wear. They are designed for use in health care clinics such as physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, radiology, oncology and other situations when the practitioner needs to have the patient take their clothes off for treatment.

Rear Opening Gowns

All our gowns close with hook and loop closures at the back of the neck and about half way down the back. They have a good amount of coverage over the back and having the hook and loop allows for adjustment to the fit. They have a high v-neck shape in the front which makes them look a bit nicer but still provide modesty.

Front Opening Gowns

These gowns all close with a tie. They have on tie on the inside on one side and on the outside on the other. This allows for some adjustment in the fit.

Do you have other plain colours?

These gowns come in a range of plain colours, if you cannot see the colour you need here on our website please contact us as we are able to get many other colours.


How do I know how to pick the right size?

Our gowns are a unisex design.

Sometimes when a person is lying down it can be hard to work out what size they are. We suggest that you try measuring an item of clothing that currently fits.

If you are in doubt you should always go a size larger – these garments are not meant to be worn tight – they should be loose and comfortable.

What is the cost of postage and handling?
  • Postage within Australia is free, we send our parcels via Australia Post parcel post so it is trackable.
  • International orders – please email us for shipping charges.

What if I don’t want to do an online order?

Please feel free to contact us directly by email or telephone.

How long will it be before my order is delivered?

We aim to send out your gowns within one week. They are sent through Australia Post regular parcel post, they should take around 3 days after postage depending on the destination.  You will be notified if the order is likely to take longer.

Please advise if you urgently need the garments and every effort will be made to get them to you as soon as possible.

International orders depend on where in the world you are situated and how you wish the goods to be sent to you via Airmail or Sea mail.

Can items be picked up in person?

Sorry we do not offer pick up of the gowns.

Can items be shipped internationally?

Of course we will send items overseas – contact us on enquiries at hospitalgowns.com.au for a shipping quote.


We gladly accept Visa, MasterCard, or regular account payments all through PayPal.  You do not need to have a PayPal account in order to make a credit card payment.

Direct Deposit is also available for Australian customers.  Please email or telephone for the bank account details if you would like to pay by Direct Deposit.

Do I need a PayPal account to purchase from this store?

No, you do not need to have a PayPal account to buy from us. Of course if you already have a PayPal account you can use it.

How secure is this store?

This store uses PayPal and Stripe for payments, and both systems automatically encrypt your confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available).  We have no access to your credit card details and we do not store them when you pay online.

What currency do you accept?

All items are listed in Australia Dollars.

Returning & Exchanging Goods

In addition to your Statutory Rights, should you change your mind we will happily exchange or refund providing the following conditions have been met:

  • The items are returned within 21 days of purchase.
  • Items must be in original condition as purchased, with all labels/tickets attached. Garments must not have been worn.


For a refund, please include the invoice you received with your parcel and indicate the reason for return. Goods must be returned within 3 weeks unworn and unwashed with all labels/tags attached. We will credit your original method of payment, excluding delivery (unless goods are faulty or not as ordered) or hold a credit on your account for future purchases.
